The next Moon the Essei reached was Earth. They found no Cogum on it.

Earth was empty, and it was beautiful. The only works of any hand were great pyramids of stone, and the remnants of a people no one could name.

Who built the pyramids, and where that people went, is not recorded on any Moon.
