The Essei brought ambassadors of the Cri with them to Earth. The Cri were shocked: there were no Orum on Earth.

They were shocked a second time when they understood that there were none on Essei either. The Essei had not seen the Orum in centuries. The Cri had assumed it was the Essei who could not see.

The Cri ambassadors’ account of the journey survives in two versions, one written in the cities and one written in the Limit. They agree on what was seen. They do not agree on what it meant.
