The Dry Face

For a very long time, the lit face of Ulat suffered drought. All of the Moon’s water is in the Boog, where no Cogum will go.

On Ulat, as everywhere, the Orum marked the good and the bad. But on Ulat, what was right was decided, in the end, by what was needed: water. The Ulat built political systems to divide what water there was fairly, and to end the wars between tribes that the shortage had caused.

In doing so they began, slowly, to set the Orum aside as a guide to how to act.
