The Orum are made of Jol’s light. He illuminates them, and they are what the Cogum of the Moons can see of him: small geometric shapes that do not last. They are, as far as any Moon has determined, the building blocks of the World.

Orum move, and their movement means something. Read correctly, it tells the truth of the World as it is and as it will be.

Each Moon reads the Orum in its own way. The practice is called Orumancy. The Moons read the same light, and each reads it as its own.
