Answer With a Prayer
A Prayer is the only card played outside your own turn. It goes in a response step, and the player who did *not* act speaks first — so when they attack, you answer before they see it.
The board plays at its own pace — the rival takes its turn where you can watch it. Advance the phase and end the turn from the rail on the board’s edge, exactly as you would in a real game.
